Nice looking bike! But am I the only one who'd worry about getting impaled on one of those spikes on the top of the windscreen? I can't recall ever seeing a screen design quite like that.

"ch" is a French notation for "HP". It is an abbreviation of "chevaux", which means "horses"; therefore, the bike is 28 HP. If you remember the iconic Citroen 2CV car, it was "deux chevaux", or two horsepower.

I modified the text , i copied from a site after a simple search in google :P
While im not good writer in english i thought this may be more understandable :D
The design is simply amazing no mistake in my opinion the led light is the style i have
been waiting for , and this kymco is versus yamaha x max
and its definetly better designed ...
Yamaha has better engine and we all know that!

Mike: It's has to be. Looks @ the specs. Exact match to the DT300i. Funny the GTi300 has 28.7HP

It is not clear whether they measure BHP (brake horse power) or WHP (wheel horse power)
Brake Horse Power is measured at the flywheel of the engine on an engine dyno.  While wheel horse power is measured at the drive wheels on a chassis dyno.  Using the same exact engine with the exact specs on different vehicles will have different wheel horse power readings.

I'm sorry, but every one of these space kid cadet scooters look the same to me- they just do them up in different colors and add graphics sometimes.

Kymco, and others do sculpt nearly every inch of these things - lots of deep folds and pointy bits -  but they all look the same when you squint a bit.
Maybe, like VW used to do - all scooter companies should just approach the Italians (or the French) and pay them to design their scooters (and motorcycles)
Somebody needs to think outside the box here.........

14.9 CH? That must have 4 valves! My 170cc Yager only manages 15 hp...

It looks to me that there is not much leg room. Look at the riders leg position in the 3rd picture in the original post. The riders knees are higher than his @ss and are pretty much touching the front part of the "cockpit" area. Maybe it just looks that way because of the angle of the bike.

IMO Kymco makes there scoots sized for smaller people. Before I bought my People I sat on some Likes and my knees were almost hitting the handle bars. Very uncomfortable and completely ruled them out for me. I'm not huge either - 205 lbs, 6 ft. 1 in. tall, and 34 in. inseam.

Maybe when Kymco has a very big American market, they can consider having some Americans to design a certain scoot model... this way, some issues like leg room, seat design, etc can be addressed properly...  The average Asian height is around five foot five and the existing scoots fit us like a glove... When the Japanese started making cars, no American can fit in them... and later, when they landed on American shores... things started to grow bigger....

Hi, i write from Spain and i have a K-XCT 125!, is a very sporty scooter, the chasis is so good, is very agile, the scooter practically turns by it self.

The brakes are wonderfull!!!!

The Engine is the same on SuperDink 125!, or DownTown in other markets, but i think that in USA are not available the 125 versión.

I'm looking for exhaust for this model but is so new, i saw the Yoshimura por Súper 8 150 but i'm not sure that it fix correctly on the k-XCT.

Consumption: 2,7l/100km (by now ;))
Price: 3.199€

Well, if you need some info from Spain i will be around, regards!

Congratulations , very good choice
i like this kymco so bad , even the price is very normal
but something unimaginable is the consumption 2.7l/100 km
damn
on my kymco super 8 4t 50cc i have always more than 3l/100km
~3.2 or 3.4 usually
