Title: Need stronger start in S9 stock
Post by: gucci on May 04, 2013, 11:17:40 AM
Hello everyone,
I have a Super 9 from 2008. A/C, 12400km, goes 50mph (82kmh) in ideal conditions, usually few miles slower, got 8.5gr malossi rollers, Bando belt, changed before 3000km, vario boss removed, exhaust restriction removed, all in all, a pure stock machine with perfect engine for now. Fuel consumption is 3.6l/100km in hard city ride (0.95gl/62miles) for which I am very satisfied. I drove my friends Peugeot Vivacity 50 few days ago with restrictions, drives like hell! I has a angry start, much more than my Kymco.
Is there any suggestion to make my S9 more powerful in start, without loosing top speed and not to increase fuel consumption? A little lighter rollers, clutch springs, central spring? Thanks a lot!

How much do the stock rollers weigh? Six 8.5 g rollers sound a bit heavy for good acceleration, and possibly more than needed for max top speed.
