Title: Greasing the Speedometer Gear/ Front Wheel Bearing s250 People
Post by: vespa50sp on May 03, 2013, 05:22:11 PM
I can't really tell by the service manual or the bike. Am I looking for a zerk or do I need to take something apart to grease the speedometer gear and front wheel bearing.

Thanks

If it's like my Bet and Win 250, then the speedometer cable goes to a hub that attaches to the front wheel. Unbolt the front wheel and everything comes apart. The hub is packed with grease. Make sure the notch on the speedo hub matches the notch on the fork when putting it all back together.
