..I bought my scooter, an Agility 50, because I had no other choice..I got a DWI, and I have a 35 mile round trip commute every day for work..
..Im the past 18 months, I grown to love the open road, the ride, the "fresh" (sometimes) air...
..I've ridden in pouring rain, 100 degree heat, fog, snow, sleet (that was tricky), and 20 degree cold...
I gotta work...
..I've already decided that when I get my license back (October), I'm going to get a bigger bike...
..My Agility runs 50 mph downhill (NC State Trooper verified)...Whew!!..that was a close one...so, I'm getting accustomed to higher speeds..
..I've been leaning toward a sport bike, until I joined this Forum...
..You guys seem so "attached" (I mean that in the very best way) to your scoots that, now I'm considering getting a larger cc Kymco...
Somebody please help me decide!!!...
peace

Here in S. Texas it's mostly about the heat. 30 of the past 35 days have seen temps at 100 or better. Then going to Austin in central Texas in the wintertime we get northers, ice and freezing rain storms. I scoot because it's too much fun and I'm too cheap to buy a car. Since I'm retired - mostly - that's no problem.
My ride is an Xciting 500. I have owned a couple of Harleys, a Kawasaki cruiser, a Honda 400 twin, and raced a Yamaha enduro. None of them have been as much fun, maintenance free, as durable, and as useful as my Xciting.
Longest trip so far? San Antonio to New Orleans and back in 4 days. Total miles about 1350.
After owning it for 18 months, I've clocked 23k miles.
And today I'm going shopping for scooter shwag. Ummm shwag.

Before buying People I was "this close" to buy Ninja 14R (Kawasaki ZZR 1400)... I bet it would be fun too. :)
