Title: life of GT ?
Post by: boo on April 22, 2013, 01:27:52 AM
For those here that are very experienced with motor scooters, assuming the GT is a well made scoot, what would you estimate the life in miles of a GT?.
Quality oils and regular maintenance of course.
Before "major" repairs are needed.

Your opinions will be appreciated.

I have a good idea as to motor cycles but, not that knowledgeable about single cylinder, CVT drive motor scooters.

thanks boo

IMO, there's no telling because of a lot of other factors... the way one rides, riding conditions, weight of rider/riders., etc., contribute in one way or another...  my old chinesescoot had 55,000 miles before I parted with it.... the present owner still uses it and has undergone no repairs yet... I used it for city riding only.. it has around 70,ooo miles now.... the first repair I made was a broken speedo cable...  and that's a chinese scoot...  My Super 8 blew a fuse one week after I got it...
