OK, coming to you folks again with another question (like my salesman said,"tis great to have a forum of owners to get advice from.")
With my new XXXXL helmet I have now completed two 5 min. practice rides on my Like LX (you were correct - I did not crash and burn - Thanks for the encouragement!!!) .....but today it is pouring rain.  Ducks are walking.

I have ordered my Prima cover, sold by Scooterworks, and a Bully wheel alram/lock (as seen on youtube) and a couple of small but essential - red, white & green decorations..  :-)

It looks like I'm going to need rain-gear sooner, rather than later.
I expect to pay @$150 for the pants and jacket - and hope to wear the brightly colored  & reflective jacket on cold, dry,  days as well. 40 yrs ago I rode my motorcycle into the winter of Mass. by wearing a water-proof jacket and pants over my clothes (if the rain can't get through, neither can the cold wind)

What are the things to look for in buying rain gear these days?
Best brands?
Won't be going to the Rockies from Ohio in this gear - just poking around town and going 3 miles to work.
Also, looking at a Grip-Lock for grocery store stops when I won't employ the alarmed Bully lock. Are these good?

Your forum feedback and advice is, as always, appreciated and closely read.

While I have a waterproof jacket and pants, I also have rain shoe covers and a rain poncho for easy on-easy off wearing...

My dad went to Academy and bought a set of Frog Togs rain suit.  He has used them a few times and they seems to be holding up pretty good, and when I went and bought mine, they were about $65 total for the top and bottom.

Motorcycle specific ones are better as they close the arms while riding. 2 piece is more convienient
but a one piece won't leak as easily. I get one that fits over my leather jacket. Most are too hot to
wear if the weather is warmer...

I've found nothing better and more durable than the Frogg Toggs Horny Toadz -- about $120 for jacket and pants from motorcyclesuperstore.com. I rode all winter with mine, no issues.

I like that "scooter rain coat" never seen it advertized in the US...

My wife and I each have a set of Nelson-Rigg SR-6000 Storm Rider rain suits... in hi-vis yellow.

A pair of rain boot covers can complement your rain gear... protects your shoes from getting wet...
