Title: Like airfilter

I Have a question about the airfilter on the Like 200i. When I did the removal of the air restrictor on the air box I noticed that the filter has a sponge type face and then a paper type element behind. The owner's manual shows that you use air to blow out the filter to service, while the shop manual says to wash and squeeze out and re-oil. If that is true do I remove the sponge to wash and THEN blow out the paper filter?  Just wondering...Len

IF you can remove the sponge, AND reinstall it then you can rinse it out in water, and then let it air dry.  If you blow it out with compressed air, it will destroy it pretty quick.

Hello 91, I think the sponge part might be removable from the front of the paper filter part. If it is I'll try washing. Thanx for the reponse.     Len
