Title: Weight capacity of a Like 200i??
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on April 08, 2013, 08:34:15 PM
Hello, Still shopping for my scooter -(it will become my work ride as my car is now DOA - and shop wants nearly $1000 to get this 25yr old beater VW Jetta back on the road-  I'd rather put the $ into a scooter for my short city commute) Why a scooter - well the family owns 2 Scion xBs (2005 & 2012) , so you can see that I'm a little different in the head! Quality/reliability/price are big factors with me - not horsepower or style!
But what is the weight capacity of these Like 200i scooters - cannot find the GrossVehicleWeight sticker on the one on the showroom floor. I can find it on the Hondas and Yamahas, plus their vehicle weight - so can calculate the possible carrying weight - but no luck on the Kymco.
What is the wieght capacity which will not harm the scooter? SLOWING ON A HILL IS OKWITH ME- IT'S A 25MPH HILL IN ANY EVENT - -but don't want to ruin or shorten like of the drive train.

This is kinda important info before I buy a scooter.

Hi OldSchooter, According to my owners manual, The gross weight capacity of the Like 200i is 330 lbs. Since  you say you are not interested in style or horse power, you might want to consider the Kymco Agility 125cc scoot. It is a rugged no frills scooter with good reliability and a great price. Many members of this group ride them and swear by 'em.
