It makes a great difference in alot of scoots but makes a terrible difference in some...why i have no clue but it does, seems some scoots perform better and some scoots wont.

only true way to tell is try it but I myself have gone back to 6 rollers on my 50cc's.
I did run 3 for 4500 km but noticed uneven wear.
i do know on the TGB scooters it makes it way worse performance.

go ahead and just keep 6 in its alot safer and keeps the wear down and lets the variator actually perform better.

What type of wear did you see??..I'm running three 9.0 gram rollers...

The Rollers were wearing a bit uneven, I had pretty bad flat spots on them and the 3 channels of the variator they were in were pretty glazed..I think they were 4 or 5 grammers but i cant remember for sure. Since then I sold the scoot lol

I have a question regarding rollers.

I have here rollers 18x14 14 g and 18x14 11 g.
I notice that (logically) internal diameter is not the same.

I guess this is OK? :)

Internal diameter does not matter. Drilling out (not by free hand, with box column drill or turning lathe) a usual modification.
For a good optimization you need the best overall weight and all the rollers of the same weight.

Therefore you can use sets with rollers in many different weights. They are not intended for eternal use, they wear out fast. Try out the optimal weight and then choose rollers of high quality with this weight.

Or as mentioned above drill out 5-10% and try, then another ...
But then you will notice the optimum only when things become worse again, you already bore too much.

..well, I'm done with ever running three rollers...ever.........

..how long, typically, should it be before I see wear on a six roller setup?

I ran mine for a good 8000k - 9000k before I began to notice a drop in top speed.  I replaced the belt at the same time, I think that also had a lot to do with the speed loss.  Both belt and rollers were pretty worn by then.

Depends much on the quality.
I.e. my Suzuki UE125 had "used" rollers and belt after 16000km. Recommended change intervall 8000km.
My Kymco Xciting 500 has still a perfect vario after 15000km. No recommended change intervall, parts are known to hold 20-30000km and more.
Several maxi scooters (Burgman, Majesty) may run 20000-24000km prior changing.
But cheaper scooters like Agility 50 etc. probably use minor quality. I've heard about real wear before 10000km.

..yup! I ran mine for 30,000 km...and they were JUNK!!!  I never knew...but now I do!!
