Title: Mirror Extender/Risers
Post by: MassScoot on February 15, 2013, 12:26:46 AM
Hi All: I wanted to mention...I'm NOT this eBay (or any BTW) seller in any way! Just that I purchased these mirror extenders/risers for my Kymco Super 8 & my GT300i & they work like a charm! It made a HUGE difference on my Super 8 & made my GT300i better as well.

For the short coin..it's worth it!

You can also get them from Amazon and maybe save the shipping cost.

You can make extenders from flat aluminum bar stock (1/4" x 1" x 3") a lot cheaper, but
these also add height and come in Black already.  Well worh having them if you have a mirror problem.

Scoot safely,

I used these extenders on my People 150 and liked them a lot. My question is whether or not the bolts that come with the Biondi windshield kit for the GTI300 are long enought to use with these extenders? I ended up getting longer ones to use on the 150.

Oh... but what's the difference between glancing at the mirror and glancing at the monitor...I think you will have a better view with a camera/monitor than with a side mirror..... even bicycles use this..

Thanks for the tip on the extenders. I put a pair on my Super8 150. Makes a big difference and I'm very happy with them.

Ninja: I'm glad we could help you out. They are great for the money spent! You get almost 2" as an extender & appx. 3/4" in height. Makes all the difference if you ask me. The Florida dealer I bought my Super 8 150 from asked me where I purchased them (as they installed them for me) She bought 10 units on the spot & my guess is she got a better deal from the ebay seller as well. I hoped you used some Loctite to keep them in place.

Blue loctite on the threads for sure.
Thanks again.

Are there any other type of mirrors like on sports motorcycles ?
With standars ones , i sometimes cant clearly see what's going on at the back while i perfectly see the sides. Its sorta my shoulders are blocking the view.

Not sure what kind of sports motorcycle mirrors you are referring to, but up until a month ago, I owned a Kawasaki Ninja Sports motorcycle and the mirrors were not as usable as the stock Kymco ones . Using the extenders with the stock Kymco mirrors gives me a better rear and side view than the ones on my motorcycle.
