I had to run out to the bike for something.  I noticed a light on the lower right hand slide glowing.  It said "Met - In" 

I don't have my owners manual handy.  What is this?   ???

the seat is not latched or aligned when closed.

It means that your seat is not securely closed and your courtesy light on the inside is on.

It means to hook up your trickle charger.  When mine comes on I tap the back of the seat and it goes off.
