Title: Rust on handle bar caps

Not sure of the technical term haha.

I live near the ocean and even though I cover my scooter I'm starting to get rust on the end of the throttle. Anyone have experience with this? Is there something I can put on it to prevent rust? Or maybe I should replace the grips?

Replace with stainless steel...

or Grand Vista/Grand Dink bar ends...

I don't live near the water, but I do get some rust on the bottom of my mirror posts. Take some fine grit sandpaper to it. Should clear it up. Just like crabs.
