Hello all.
New to this forum but not new to scootering. Great forum !
Just added my first Kymco, a "factory fresh" 2011 leftover People 200s. I wasnt looking for another scoot but a friend was and passed on this bike.
$2399.00 out the door. New less than 5 miles on it full warrantee and a good B&M dealer. Seems most that own this scoot like it as long as the expectations were reasonable.

Just got in from work and was thinking about writing a new post. Just traded my relatively new Kymco Xciting 500Ri on a Can Am Spyder. A 2009 RS SE5. I am having some separation issues after changing from such a sweet ride as the X500 to this new robot/machine that downshifts for you and ABSOLUTELY refuses to allow you to lean into a turn. Then I saw your post with the yellow what looks like a 2012 RS-S? I realy miss my scooter for a lot of different reasons but as time goes on I hope I will adjust to the Spyder. With back and foot nerve problems I'm really excited to think I can have a motorcycle to ride with a lot of stability and safety with the Spyder. just really hate the foot brake and no levers next to the grips. Your thoughts on how to make the transition would really be appreciated. Thanks,

Hey Mike.
Id love to give you some input on the BRP Can Am but my only experience was a test drive. Yeah the foot brake is plain weird but the rest was outstanding ! I liked it because due to a spinal cord injury I can't use my feet to shift.
Now that bike in the pic is a "Scam-Am" LoL. It's a china made scoot, cn2500 cc clone with a CVT. It's a "sheep in wolves clothes". It's all scooter and a timid one at that. Max 52mph on the sea level flats I live on. But it is fun to ride and always starts a conversation .
I picked it up at auction. Whoever bought the thing online got in way over their heads. It takes a lot of tweaking to get the front end toe-in right. If its not things are ugly and this bad boy was not set up at all. The guy paid close to 5k for the thing, sick , and gave up with less than 200 miles on it. Very few shops will work on the thing so you need to be a wrench turner to make it work.
I bought it for $1100.00 and have another $300.00 in it. Not counting my zillion hours of labor getting it right. I keep saying I'm selling it but I've got almost 2000 miles on it and.........It's fun.
That being said I'm happy to have the People 200. All my scoots are project types and I kinda like to keep them close to the barn.
Its nice to have a proven, reliable bike again.

I don't know if this is your first Kymco product but they are a joy to own. The engine is bullet proof and parts are usually available. Sometimes the manufacturer can be slow in shipping uncommon parts but overall they are reliable. Had me fooled on that yellow dog. Welcome to the forum, great group of fun and sometimes quirky people. Your imput as a wrench head is always welcome. I Know you will enjoy your new ride.

Yeah Mike its my first Kymco and I bought it for just the reasons you stated. I have a bunch of projects but wanted a ride I could depend on, and also let the dealer do the work for a while.

Welcome to the forum. I recently purchased my first Kymco Agility 125cc scooter after having a cheap Roketa 50cc Chinese import. I love my kymco and quality is second to none. Here in Vegas baby I had my bike doing 60mph on a 45mph street. These Kymcos really love to go. In the next few months Vegas will be hosting the annual HighRollers Scooter Rally which is one of the biggest, or biggest rally scooter rallies in the United States. Kymco is a major sponsor of the rally along with Vespa and Lambretta. These bikes are built to last. You should check out www.lvscooterrally.com (http://www.lvscooterrally.com) for more information. The weather should be perfect for riding. :D

Hubby and I are planning to be in Vegas in the near future........BUT.....won't be taking the Kymco's. Would be rather neat to be there during the scooter rally though!

It is a site to see. I have been to the last two rallies here in Vegas and they are a blast. They welcome most makes and models, but they laugh at you if you show up with one of those Chinese import bikes. The parties are fun too. The weather here in Vegas is finally starting to warm up again. I do encourage everyone to attend at least one rally in their life time. There is nothing like it. Happy riding to everyone. The LV Scooter Rally is happening Feb 28-March 3rd in the year of 2013.

I'm a pretty happy owner of an s200 myself, rattles have developed over time but ther then that I've had trouble free miles since I've owned her. Mines an 09, look for her to top out around 55-60 mph, that's what I get with a full windsheild.

Thanks fello jersey guy....
I "purpose bought" this scoot so top end at 55 or 60 is plenty fast for my use and where I live. I realy like the seating position. I'm small 5'8" and 135 lbs. the scoot fits great. I rode a HD Nightster for years and got used to the low seat height. This scoot is more upright, good for a old busted-up body !

I seldom get my S200 over 50......my husband has had it at 70. "Rosie" is an '07 and has a tad over 1K miles on it.

Hubby has his own Kymco toy, but I allow him to feel the power of Rosie every now and then.....he thinks the scoots take off is awesome. He prefers to ride his '06 Venox though on longer trips.

My Yager won't go above 60 MPH, I think I got a dud!
