I have been waiting for a dealer to give me a firm price on a 2013 model. He said he would not know till February. Meanwhile I found another dealer with a brand new 2012 model in the right color, that he will sell me for $4300 plus tax & title. About $4700 total. Do you folks think I should cancel my 2013 order and pick up the 2012 for that price. Will the 2013 models have any major changes to be worth more money, or should I save maybe $1000 and pick up the 2012? The other thing is that the scooter is in his showroom, and I'm sure I can pick it up on 1 April and not miss any riding this year.

I'm not aware of any big changes to the 2013 GT 300i. $1000.00 is a good deal of money in savings that could be applied to accessories.

I'm concerned the 2013 prices might go up. The new model might not be available in a timely manner, and I would be looking at shipping charges . This scooter is the right color, and on the dealers floor. He will store it for me until I want to pick it up. The money saved will buy my windshield, new removeable top case and a cover. I don't think Kymco will make any drastic changes to the new model, if any at all. Guess it's a no brainer. Thanks for your input.

Personally, I'd go with the '12 and save the $1000. I bought a '12 just when some dealers were getting '13's and I didn't see anything different to justify paying more.
Seems strange the dealer cannot commit to a price on a '13 now?
What happened to your deal on the '13 for $5100 OTD?

I thought the dealer I bought my 150 from was was honest and gave me a decent deal. I could not deal with anyone closer at the time because of a limited selection in June. Once I sold the 150, I started checking a few dealers closer to me. One gave me a price of $5800 and the other was $5100. The only trouble was he wanted the money up front before ordering, and by the end of the year. I talked to my original dealer and he said he thought he might be able to match the $5100 deal, but wasn't sure of pricing yet. I told him to let me know because I trusted him. I just happened to be looking at different dealers and saw the 2012 advertized for $4999. It was the color I wanted and it is on his showroom floor now. I called him and he offered it to me for $4300 + tax and registration. I called my original dealer back and he told me that it was a good deal and he couldn't beat it. I was concerned the 2013 would be quite a bit more with shipping and all, plus I wouldn't be sure of a delivery date. Also there are no major changes between model years. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I'm going to look at the 2012 this week, and will buy it it it looks good.

I did it. I bought a new (2012) silver GTI 300. I got it for $4644.00 + registration. Thought it was a decent deal. Now I just have to wait for nice weather to ride.
