Title: Diagnostics software
Post by: CROSSBOLT on November 25, 2012, 10:10:56 PM
Searched the web for two days to find this:

www.totalcardiagnostics.com/toad/ (http://www.totalcardiagnostics.com/toad/)

in hopes that it may lead to an economic (spell cheaper) solution to the ECU on my Yager. Tell me what you think.

I went through the list but could not find any motorcycles. Let alone Kymco scooters. Did I miss something?

That one's for ODB II our bikes don't do that. They use ISO-9141 but through a serial port.

Here's a Kymco one if you can find a place to buy it;

And someone else on this list had one he got from a vendor here. I emailed him and he told me he got it here;

JENNY
TNT CYCLES

He was talking about reading codes in this topic;

Scroll down link  to where it links to "what cables do I get" and scroll down that to get pictures of OBD-I cables and you see the three-pin Honda plug. My reasoning is since the three-pin was for Honda and this thing covers Honda then MAYBE it would work. Long stretch, huh? I will try to call them monday and ask the question.

Randy, that one on e-bay looks pretty good if one could get it for the $60.00 opening bid. Sorry it took so long to get back but I have flattened by the annual "cold"......

I thought the same thing. He wants $250 though so chances are he has friends to bid it up for him.
Bid the $60, it can't hurt. I'm not bidding so if you get it for that maybe you would let me borrow it
if I ever need it?

I know this is a VERY old post, but there is a Kymco diagnostic tool on ebay....  (current bid quite reasonable).

I looked up on ebay and there are three tools posted (your link did not work for me) for less than the 200+ shipping for the normal price. That $22.00 bid is great if everyone stays smart! That tool is great but 200 bucks is not!

... and it sold for $40 US.  (not me).
