Title: CDI for super 8 150
Post by: Super8150 on November 14, 2012, 02:51:32 AM
Need to know if I need a 6 pin or 4 pin CDI and if I need AC or DC?
Also considering a Kevlar belt because of squeaking issues. Thoughts?

I found a service manual here:
http://bmanual.com/Kymco-Super8-Service-Manual.html (http://bmanual.com/Kymco-Super8-Service-Manual.html)

Here's the CDI schematic from that manual;

It looks like a 8 pin? The B/LI line feeds the CDI off the battery so I'd assume it's a DC one.

The Super 8 50 uses a 8 pin DC. Most of the 2010 and newer Kymcos are 8 pin
