i hope the subject line makes sense.
i'm getting ready to remove the battery for winter storage.
if i remove the battery and shut the seat, will the seat still open using the ignition key?
-
I think that the cable to the seat is mechanical, so turning the key will open the seat without electrical connection!

thanks, wil. i wondered about that, but wasn't sure and couldn't find anything in the manual.

Looking in the service manual, there is a seat lock cable. So I guess it is manual, not electric.

You are correct, the seat is cable operated not electrical....tear away !
Dont forget to keep the battery on a battery tender/minder to keep it charged up in the off-season.

thanks for the quick responses, guys.
i just finished removing the battery and, like the guy that wears suspenders AND a belt, and just for the hell of it, also removed this:

obviously overkill, but when i have a screwdriver in my hand, no screw is safe.
