I have a 2008 MXU 500, I love it except I can't keep the battery charged. Usually the machine stops at the worst time, like when I am halfway across my 40 acres. I have replaced the battery and solenoid. A little background, mice gnawed my wires under the seat last winter, I have replaced, spliced or sealed all areas where the mice got their little teeth into it. most of the gnawing was just the insulation, not the wires, but I have had the charge problem since then. Thanks in advance

A volt meter set to dc should be put onto the battery terminals. It should show 12-13.8vdc
With the engine running you should measure 14-14.5vdc
If you are seeing less than this, there is a fault on the stator, the voltage regulator/rectifier, the battery or the wiring between them.
That is all.
