Kymco agility 50cc, 105 mpg with 18mph restriction and carburator.
72 mpg with fuel injection and the 18mph restriction, but i just got the fuel mixture right on idle tonight and i've spend alot of time idling and waiting for the scooter to warm up so i could see the effect of the tuning. :D

Kymco Xciting 250Ri.....low 58mpg and high 74mpg...average about 64 mpg....the way I drive it really makes a difference.

2007 Kymco People 250 (250cc, carb) = 53-71 mpg, avg = 60.6 mpg (lower mileage in the cold, higher in the hot, which seems typical)
2011 Honda PCX (125cc, EFI) = 87-104 mpg, avg = 93.0 mpg

that's exactly why I ride. I don't want to complicate things by keeping up with gas mileage because I'm riding for fun and relaxation.
08, I guess it's like some gourd head who wants to try and jump start his scooter while rolling down a slope with his kill switch on.

Heh -- well, yeah, I get it. If I wanted the best fuel economy numbers out of my PCX, I'd never ride above 40 mph (which describes how I got that 104 mpg figure -- it was on a loooong ride with some 50cc scooter folx). However, it is presently my only transportation, and I live nearly 30 miles from work, so I'm often riding at 50-60 mph on the surface roads between here and there. Fun and practical, IMO.

I agree with Mike. I don't keep tabs on my fuel consumption on my GT300i because it is a scooter. We all know it does well.

I'm sorry. I would have thought that most everyone's reply to you about your kill switch, ie, it's use and function would have satisfied your curiosity but you continued on and on in spite of a lot more knowledgeable advice than mine about the damn thing. So I'm assuming you were doing that for entertainment or you are a gourd head. But your right. If you're thin skinned about a little humorous gig I do apologize.

Well Mike your offhanded apology cannot be accepted as it is just that, an offhanded slap in the face. In some circles that would just make you a punk, glad this is not one of those circles cause I don't play with punks.
As for your comments on "Complicating matters" by keeping MPG numbers, I'm not sure how that complicates anything, do you really find calculating MPG complicated? If so let me know and I'll teach you an easy method.
So when you become man enough to [post an apology in the thread it should be in (I guess it was too complicated for you to cut and paste) then we can go back to being forum friends. Next time you have an off color word for me say in a PM so I can answer back in full color or even better try doing it face to face, cause I'm sure you'd never have used those words if I were standing in front of you, don't grow forum muscles, they don't biome you. (Just sayin)

I'm not sure where you see a threat? Perhaps you can point it out to me. If you precieved something as that sort it's on you. I simply said if you choose to use terms like you used to describe me it would be better via PM and not the forum as the forum is not the place for public bashing. If your comment was meant in a light hearted manner you should have stated such long ago. I won't comment on you being called dumb ass as I am nopt aware of the context in which it was said. As for me saying you could say things to me face to face I'm pointing out your forum muscle, certainly not mine, please re read.

Just bought a new 2012 GTI300. It only has 500 miles on it, and I'm getting just over 60mpg so far.

2012 Kymco Like 200i. No idea what mileage I get as I simply put more in when it needs it. Which is quite often. If I had to guess, I would say somewhere around 70 MPG, much better than the 29 MPG my Can Am Spyder gets.

29 MPG on a cycle? Hell my cars get better MPG then that. 29??? Wow! If 3 wheels were my only option for having a bike I'd go with it but man, 29? You did say 29 didn't you? :o

Filling out of a 2 gal 8 oz gas can - and never fill that to the top at the gas station.
Just keep adding to the tank when she looks low - probably never will know what my mileage is.
How do you do this - since we're not supposed to fill near the neck of the tank?
In my car I fill till it shuts off - Done.
No way I'm going to do that with my scoot when even a small overfill is going to go down there on my emergency Moon Pies, air guage and emergency clean underwear.
Sure as heck ain't putting in 1 gal. and driving till the engine dies in traffic!
So, will go by what other, more clever Like owners get.
I'm really impressed that so many of you guys can figure out your MPGeezers - to the tenth, even, some of you!

To get 117 MPG on that scoot you must be riding at a steady 30 MPH, not sure how your getting double what I'm getting on my 163 cc scoot.

Sorry Dr. McStuffins I think it would be more like 50 kilometers = (roughly) 31 miles x's 4 (again roughly L= Qt.) =124 US MPG. Still quite a feat.

No mods... all stock..... 20-30 miles per hour average speed... no wots (I only do wots during weekends)... my mpg improved drastically when I switched to a JASO MB rated Scooter specific oil... very slippery oil compared to motorcycle oil... and increased my tire pressure to 35 rear, 30 front... these plus a controlled speed really were the reasons... before I got around 80 mpg...
Other factors may be the Iridium plug, weekly cleaning of the air filter, and maybe good fuel choice...
@ de dee... I take a different route going to work and going home... In going to work, I it's a lot of flat roads and in going home, lots of downhill roads... maybe the downhills also contributed to my good mpg...
Maybe you are curious how I computed.... Well, the distance I travel in one day is 50 kms.... tank's always full every Monday and I fill up with 2 liters every after 2 days... so, that's one liter in one day... so that's 50 kms. per 1 liter... give or take. It's a routine habit... doing this for almost two years, I think it's quite accurate...

I am a WOT type of guy. Have never been a go slow and follow the speed limit guy. TNG sold it saying you would get 85-90 mpg not sure how I'm getting higher. I did see on their website that they did 3 tests with it and the mpg varied from 80-120 but the government made them claim only the lower ones.

people s 250 only put a few tanks in but so far looks like 70-75mpg

I had a Bajaj Chetak (150cc, four stroke, four speed) that would pull 85 mpg commuting daily and once got 103 mpg on a group trip of 500 miles. That was cruising steady at 45-50 mph on 90 degree days. It had a small windshield, which actually helped the mileage.
The new Stella 150 four-strokes get over 100 mpg also, about the same power as my old Chetak (8 hp)
Royal Enfields (500cc) will pull 85 mpg also and they have hydraulic lifters and an auto chain tightener now.
I know that theoretically the CVT's are supposed to get better mileage (the engine should be able to run at optimum efficiency), but my experience is not. Maybe they have to be "tuned" for mileage where many scooters run a little lighter weights for more bottom end power.

I ride a Like 200i and I average 70 mpg, my best has been 82, and my worst (120 mile trip against a 20-30 mph headwind) 45 mpg. I tend to ride very aggressively. Job

Zx 50 only checked it once so far but it was 60. Scoot is derestricted and I run it wot pretty much all the time since that barely gets me to the speed limit.
