Just found out about the recall notice for the possible engine mounts breaking on the 04 and 05 Super 9 (liquid cooled). Recall notice says KYMCO will replace the engine. My bike has the engine #'s that are listed in the recall. I love the bike but dont want to die riding it. Has anyone had their engine replaced for this recall? I have a call in to Kymco and hope to hear back tomorrow. Ill keep you guys/gals posted. daws.

I've heard of the recall, but don't understand it. I've seen some of the replaced engines pop up on eBay and the likes... A friend of mine even has 2 of those engines, and I don't think they're going to be any problem. Bottom line though, if Kymco's going to replace the engine, go for it. Then sell the old one to me. :)

Issue solved. Contacted Kymco yesterday with my vin and engine #'s. Turns out the affected engines have a number of KBE7 with a 1 underneath. Luckily mine has a number 2. Kymco rep says 1 is bad 2 is good. They were very willing to replace engine if need be. Very happy with Kymco customer service and response. daws
