Post by: 08087 on October 11, 2012, 11:05:13 PM
I'm always dreaming of places to retire to when the time comes. Do you care to share the cost of basic items in your location?
Prices can be in whatever currency you use, I can make the conversions if needed.

NJ, USA

1 gal bottled water $1.00
1/2 l bottled water name brand $1.00
Toilet paper Cheap .65 cent per 1,000 single ply sheets
Gas per gal of reg $3.65
Jeans $30-$40 Levi's/ Lee
1 bed rm apt in a pretty good area $1,000 per month. (in NYC $3,000 and up)
Cel phone service unlimited talk/text no data $35-$40
