Hi all! First of all I do not currently own a Kymco scooter. My ride is a 2008 Burgman 400 and I am very pleased with it. My first scooter was Silverwing. Due to a low back injury I will probably need to down size in the near future to a lighter scooter.
I have looked at the Downtown 300i and it might work in replacing my Burg 400. But the People GT 300i really appeals to me. Weird thing is that I contacted 8 dealers in Northern California between the east San Francisco Bay Area to Sacramento and none of them have a GT 300i. One dealer even told me that they are not imported to the U.S.!
Only one dealer had a GT 200i which was really nice. But I'm concerned about the lack of power & top speed of the 200i. I ride longer distances and often times need to hop on the interstates and freeways. I'm not too sure that the 200i can handle those sustained speeds. Any comments?
Thanks,
Tony M.

The 200 can handle freeways and highways but the engine will be stressed more. It's best to get a bigger machine. Welcome to the Forum...
