My Super 8 purred at wot when new up to several thousand kilometers, now the engine roars at wot... Does it has something to do with the pipe?

If the header bolts have vibrated loose it may have burned through the exhaust gasket a little to contribute to the noise.

And you may be due for a valve adjustment, if the exhaust valve has closed up tighter than .004 inch it would sound different, and be harder to start when cold.

Also a tight exhaust valve will burn over time.
