Title: YES AT LAST....problem sorted!!
Post by: whiteknight on September 01, 2012, 10:18:48 PM
Right...i was having alot of trouble with my scoot emptying the fuel bowl far too quickly, couldn't get past 1/2 throttle without it gasping thru the filter because of fuel starvation. Anyway i've sorted the problem...finally.
i was running a too bigger jet and it was using far too much fuel and not allowing the bowl to refill.
swapped the jet to a #94 from a #96 and i can yank the throttle past 1/2 to WOT and she's screaming  ;D
just need to swap the old worn rollers for some new ones, get a new belt because my old one has seen better days and get my malossi clutch and stage 6 clutch bell fitted  ;D
she will be flying i tell ya
just leaves the exzuast and race crank to do.......im hyped to get this finished and see what she can do.

Good news.  :)

Are you running an open filter as well as the BBK? Just asking cos im on a 92 but still at 50cc's, thought you would need a fair bit more than me ??? These scoots are a weird thing tho, no 2 seem to react the same to tuning.

Get good rollers cos they WILL wear a lot quicker, same with belt.

And post up some video when you get it all nice  :)

Its amazing the difference being only one or two jet sizes out can make to how a scoot runs too.  :o

yea plus you live at a higher altitude aswell dont ya? less air = less fuel needed. once i get the new rollers, belt and clutch parts in i will record her running for you  8)

Nope, im pretty much at sea level here, maybe 10-40 metres above in places at most but around sea level on average. Just down to tjese crazy Kymco engines prob cos most seem to run totally unique when tuned up :-\

almost like there individuals. each one is diffrent. i know mine is screaming like a banshee now (alot of angry faces turn to face me when i race down the road)  just glad i can finally go past half throttle now, just cant get full speed because of the worn belt...didnt need to magic marker the variator because i could clearly see were the belt wasnt going plus the worn rollers dont help either. once there sorted she will probably be scaring the sh*t outta me.
