I will most likely be riding my Kymco Bet & Win 250.
Myself and 2 of my friends Roberov from Moscow and Justin from Seattle are doing this trip. We would welcome all who would like to share a ride of your lifetime. We all have 250cc scooters though I may have my 500cc Piaggio X9 by then.
The route will consist of no interstates, all local highways to keep the speeds below 60mph to lessen the chance of breakdowns. We don't want to over-tax the engines. We plan to do at least 400 miles a day. We will have discount hotel rooms all along the way thanks to my ex. We also have scooter friends along the way for repairs, support and home cooked meals. It will take just short of a week to get there and a week to party in Key West then a week to get home. This may change throughout the trip. There will be lots of rest stops, especially if there is something wacky and cool to see.
This trip has been in the making for over 2 years and it is something I have been dreaming of along with my buddies.
There will be a website setup before we leave so everybody can follow our adventures. I will update this invite when we get it setup.
This trip will coincide with my birthday on November 10th. Gas or food gift cards are a great gift. :o)

Hello Chris,
If you are up for another rider joining in I might be able to join up with you folks in Florida for a stretch depending on the dates. I'll be out of town from Nov. 7th to 21 but would be able to catch up anyplace between Clearwater to Key West any other time in November.
The Downtown 300 has never been to Key West and my birthday is the same week as yours - so it might be time for a road trip south. :)

Hope Key West is there when you arrive. Hurricane Isaac has really been doing a number down there.

Between Lamar CO and Amarillo Texas there is nothing but dirt and wind. Bring loads of water, a pair of goggles and a dust mask. I saw 4 dust devils at the same time big enough to move a car each just north of Amarillo. The wind is so strong sometime through there the 18 wheelers get blown over.
Not joking. Be safe. :o

Perfect, I was hoping for some advice for the trip. This is something I surely have never done on a scooter. Keep it up guys and gals!

Youre racking up those miles Trancebear. Glad youre enjoying that scoot . Ride safe and keep us updated with some more nice pics :)
