Has anyone been able to get hold of a decent electrical wiring diagram for the DT300i?

I'd email you my PDF copy but am out of town for another week and don't have access to my computer.  

Here is a link to the Downtown schematic on the Kymco Italy site that is in English.   It would basically be the same as the US version except we do not have the switch to turn the headlight on/off:
