Title: Yo Batts!!! WTF Dude?
Post by: zombie on August 08, 2012, 04:28:01 AM: I'm sorry to post this... Batts has fled the building... Apparently he sold an engine to a SI forum member for 160.00. The member posted after several weeks of no replies/stories that he just wanted the engine. I replied stating I have known Batts for several years, and would stand up for him. I offered to pay the guy if Batts didn't come thru. Batts promised he would, and has not. I asked the guy to wait two days. That day is tomorrow. I can't believe Batts would let this go.

Guess you really never know with people huh... Sucks because when sh** like this happens the only explanations are the person is dead, injured, in jail/prison, or just a plain thief. I've had friends, used to be friends anyway, that have screwed me over before. I just burn the bridge and say f it. I don't get mad, I just won't have anything to do with them anymore.

I've bought things from people on forums and never had bad experiences. I do feel lucky though. I'm always very cautious and make sure they are creditable first. Oh, and I always use paypal too.

I really just want to see him square it up. We ALL f*** up from time to time but this one appears intentional. If it's just the shipping cost I will send a label to Batts., and have UPS pick up the package at his door. He won't even have to get dressed.

I didnt know much about him tbh but he seemed/seems a stand-up kinda guy, at least in cyberspace.

Hopefully he sorts himself and his personal situation out and then can get this other thing sorted. I hate hearing of anyone having problems/luck like Batts seems to have had lately, it sucks bigtime, i guess i cant blame him for looking out for himself & his kin 1st right now, i would do the same, but im sure if he had just contacted the other guy and explained the situation it wouldnt have gone this bad.

Libraries, friends, family, I know he's in school... that's the first place I would go... free internet, ect... Even if he doesn't have internet there's no reason he couldn't have shipped the thing already. Hell, word even tried to call him. I mean there's really no excuse... with all the drama my bud was causing with his wife. All that BLEW UP.
My job never made me any money..MAYBE $40 every TWO weeks but my rent and lights were pd. I was thrown under the bus hard because of Tommy's crap.
I lost my home AND job in the same sentence.
I am homeless and jobless. I have been in a "catch-22" for 3-1/2 years, now I don't have a fkn thing cept a cpl broke down scoots and my tools..... My job was bartered for my rent. I have ran a mom an pop tire shop for 3-1/2 years, kept the yard up, etc. in exchange for my rent. The 1st year I was making money but then i was given like $40 every 2 weeks. Didn't have another home so I've been in my catch-22. That's one reason I had went back to school. Tired of living this way. Haven't been "husleing" so I'm f'n broke....I mean FKN BROKE.... My dam cell phone was even turned off till someone in my immediate family figured I needed it thru this sh**...
I know it is no excuse for my slack ass shipment. All I have is excuses I know..
The ending to this summer HAS f***ING SUCKED ASS.

NO, I am not on drugs Zombie.........cept the hippie grass that I've not had in weeks because I iz a broke azz nigga.
I am a full fledged statistic.... No bank accounts, no savings accounts, no credit cards, no home, no job.
I have EVERY intention of straightening my face on this deal. I NEVER meant to cause this sort of drama over a sell. Several current AND former members all over the world have dealt with me with buying or selling. I have not been trying to "get over on anybody" at all.
I am a good dude. I was blind sided and the whole world came crashing down at one time. I have apologized the whole time, every time and continue to.......

From reading and watching the news over here it looks like there are huge numbers in the same sh** youre in Batts, thats what happens when you have sh** labour/employment laws and little or no rights as an employee as it seems to be in the States, im glad i dont live thefe myself cos that sh** is not for me. Can you not claim Welfare? Or is it worthless? We have a decent social welfare system here that pays a livable (just about) amount to unemployed and sick so your situation would not happen here which im glad of.

You have been a great friend in the past. Always there w/ some good words for anyone that can read. This is just a character check Bro! First thing I would do is hit the local churches, and Welfare. Red Cross is a great help too. Any one of the three can help set you up w/ a place to live, and maybe a lead to a decent job. This sh** may be embarrassing but I have been there. Red Cross hooked up a deposit, and utilities for an apt. The Church hooked up immediate food, clothes,curtains, ect..., and welfare finally kicked in wit Aid to Families.
I lost a job, had NO transport, and a three year old girl. I actually stayed in a Crack Hotel till the $ was gone. When I finally got off my ass, and hit those three places it took about 3 months for it all to turn around. It helps if you poke yourself in the eyes before talking to any of them... Alligator tears...

I only had excuses as to why this happened but they are some dam good ones though. I wasn't out to f*** anybody like a few people seem to think. If that was the case, then I could have used that $ for a fkn motel room for a night. >:(

Congrats on doing what you were suppose to do a long time ago. I wouldnt get angry at peoples speculations online, you would think the same way Im sure if situations had been reversed, I stayed neutral because I dont know you or of any bad dealing with you. But to lash out at speculators is silly. Can you blame anyone but yourself for this? Dont take this as trite or even mean, but man up and take your lashings. I would be all but happy if this was my part I was waiting for.

I did have a similar scenario happen to me a fews months ago... I had bought some rims off of a guy on totalruckus and it took 2 1/2 months for them to send me my freaking rims I paid for out of good faith that they would send them when they said they would. I sent countless emails and phone calls, no responses, to this person and then out of the blue I got a text with a confirmation number. While I didnt get on the site and start flaming, I did contact the local district attorney to make sure I could have them arrested if necessary. They literally had 2 weeks before I filed a fraud and theft report against them that would have become federal. Simple enough, I tried my best and waited a very long time for someone to hold true to their word in a world where I never met this person, this "person" who did not have a state ID for a business, but yet I sent them money any ways. It takes a lot of faith that you will get what you pay for online, and if the seller says they will put it in the mail as soon as payment has arrived and they do not, what is there left to think? More blind faith in society? Not likely, but at least you did send it.

I even paid extra for express shipping. Maybe thats where I messed up, yeah now I think about it, it was totally my fault....

..you've ALWAYS dealt me a straight hand..we've held internet commerce several times..even after all this, if you had a part you were selling that i needed, i'd do the same as ever before..

..aannnd just so everybody else knows..i already knew a LOT about the issues batman was going through, and his defensive post the other day was no stretch of the truth...bad sh** happens, and sometimes it comes in strings..
