i have heard only good things about them....apparently they can be quite heavly modded and will go like s*it off a preverbial shovel.

..i rode thisn today...smooth, quick initial take-off...
..it's all derestricted oem...
..got that mid-range lag where it cant get up in the powerband well..
..some 7.5 grams sliders should take care of that..maybe..lol..
..took it up to 53 indicated before i had to back off...still had plenty left...
..wish it was mine......

I'd hate to get rid of my peop but... it is slightly uncomfortable for big people like me. On the other hand I feel like it keeps me alert
I wouldn't sell my peop, but if I could find one of them cheap that would be cool

That is awesome, now I know where the Chinese pirated my TaoTao from. I have a knock off 150 Powermax that is a cheap copy, but it has a ten horsepower engine, and it hauls ass, about 65 mph stock.
It's so small, Im running it outlaw, with no tags, and it says Future Champion on the side, so I'm hoping the cops won't impound it, but like I say, it's fast, and it'll only be a matter of time before the cops shoot down my Spitfire as I'm screaming across the Rio Grande on a high speed low level beer run.

Not MY mum... Slingers. Isn't that a vertical engine? I thought the Racer was the ZX engine..., and the Cobra cross was a horizontal like the people.

That one is Chinese. You can find 125cc engine and/or big bore 80cc for it.

..hell it runs 55 indicated with nothing but boss and cdi...
..aannnd, while KYMCO does have facilities in China, this is definately not a "chinese" scoot!...lol..

..nope...engine on this'n is pretty much same as people with a shorter (yet long) case...
..also, when you buy aftermarket exhaust for a people, they cross-reference with the cobra racer..

The horizontal engine is what you want either way it goes. People have bigger tires than the zx and thats why the longer case for one. Vertical is old school and has more issues (our zx engines) and less potential power within the case

Fyi. I have owned an identical scooter. Baotian sport..
The only thing I did was cutting the pink wire to the cdi.

I say ride a stock jog and a modded jog, vs a stock dio or zx and a full modded dio zx. I have had all 4 many times over lol. Ive been left stranded on my zx also, never been left for dead on my yamahas.
I dont care for racer vs racer, but rather same rider same 4 bikes same track. The jog just out performs in every way, but mostly the engine is where it shines. 14k rpms on a Minarelli are common place, try 14 on our zx engines and you may be dislodging a piston from the rectum.
Also full modded mina will still get you 50+ mpg, I recorded 29 mpg last night on my 89 elite with zx engine heavily modded (only 72cc polini corsa heavy porting, 24mm oko, motorio expansion chamber, polini air filter, Naruku high speed drive face, polini variator, polini 6.9 g weights, malossi 1500 rpm srping, polini racing clutch with 2k srpings, "high performance coil and cdi"), still couldnt keep up with my friends madame maxxi (yamaha jog clone) with a lot less mods done to it, and he never had to gas up compared to my 2 times at the pump. This is off the line and top speed, couldnt keep up. Were both too big for scooters also (6'- 6' 2" 210-220 lbs) so its kind of even match eights except my elite weighs less than his maxxi.
In the end sometimes you gotta just roll with what you got, my friend always says his 92 porsche 911 is a piece of crap, I always say its nicer than the porsche I dont have.

You are 100% correct on all points LoveMy... The mina is designed to make efficient power. The intake set up is night, and day over the ZX (af18). I had a jog I gave away a year or so ago simply because it was a tiny 10" wheeled scoot. I'm looking for a Mina long case w/ rear disc as we speak. I know I can get a new one for a few hundred but all I really need is the cases, and basic hardware. I just finished posting how I have no love for the ZX engine/bike. Like you said... It's what I have. I really want this build done so I can start on the next. Hand made frame, and Mina engine. I have my eye on the first part... A used Polini triple tree from SPI. 40.bucks The ZX was a learning tool to see what can be done.
