I left the house today around 10am for some errands but the heat of the Summer Arizona sun crept up really fast. I haven't ridden the scoot in ages and was itching for a run. It was a gorgeous day despite the heat. At least the humidity is non existent. Even so, I give two thumbs up for those of you brave enough to endure this years hot weather in the Midwest and East. Despite the heat, I didn't have any stalling issues. Most of the ride was all open road.
I love my scoot!

The heat soak set in when I pulled it into the a/c'd garage. I give this bike credit for its durability. I rode for 20 miles at 74 (just under the cops radar of 10 over)

Wow!!! That's 43.6 degrees Celsius!!!! The hottest I've experienced so far is around 34 !!!! And I live in a tropical country.
-
Yeah, the tropical temps with humidity are different from dry high temps. If you had 43º in your country with your humidity, there would be deaths!

I was riding in Tucson today. Not quite as hot as Phoenix. It was a scorcher. I bought a new to me 2009 xciting 500i and sold the orange 2007 xciting 250 with the awesome two tone seat.

It's been the same here since early June.
Btw, 45 C + humidity is all over Middle East... UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia...

Yeah, but it's fun! Nothing beats having to wash down the patio every few days in the summer or hearing about the stories of people crashing into one another on the highways! I washed my wifes bike in the backyard last week, went in for a drink and all of a sudden it looked like friggin' mars out. Her bike looked like sh** afterwards as it was still wet with the dust turning to brown mud spots. Gotta take the good with the bad. This summer has actually been pretty quiet on the dust storms so we can't complain compared to last year where that pic is from. I gained about 2" of land from last years storm! I put on a dust mask, wait for the neighbors to go to work and use my high powered blower to blow that crap into their yards! ;D

105 degrees today in Tucson. Scattered rain. Hot Soupy desert. I signed up for the hair dryer not the soup bowl. I am ready for this monsoon to end.

Such a great moment when I do some hot ride. I always prefer some long drive with my favorite car and its very smoothly drive for the car. I think hot drive I always drive my car with 180 speed so its feel like some heaven.

Super hot ride today 2 rounds with SPF 50 spray. 80 miles in the old pueblo and a new viper Stryke on the rear this morning. The new to me xc 500i 2009 no ABS ate a metal screw two days into my ownership. Bummer! Nothing like new dancing shoes. The heater was on stun today. Heat plus convection off the mountains.

The headline on Cspan this morning was "the hottest summer on record for the US" Nice...
-
I had to go home midday today and get out the sport ute. Too hot. 109 plus windy.
