Title: Exhaust system troubles??

I recently removed the baffles from my exhaust and now it's running extremely rich.  I was told that it might run lean once I removed the baffles, and it has my mechanic a little "baffled" (pardon the pun).  Can anyone enlighten me as to  what might be the problem.  It's like it begins to "load up" at about 30 mph, and gets worse the longer it runs.  Is there anything in the carburation that needs to be  looked at?  I'm open to suggestions.  thanks much.

You NOW need to change the 'jets'.
