Hey everyone! Total newbie here...just bought a '06 xciting 250 that has the left side mirror broke off from being dropped in the driveway supposedly. I searched ebay and google searched for one but couldn't find any mirrors...does anybody know where to find one and what I should be paying for it ballpark???

Here's what you do.....
Search: Stadium Yamaha
Select: Kymco Parts / Xciting 250
Find: The body page that has the Mirror (Can't remember)
You will find an exploded picture of all the parts in that family
with P/N and Price. Order it on line. Takes about 2 weeks.
Very few people have all the parts and they usually come from Tiawan.
The mirror takes a 10mm socket. I had to machine the OD slightly
so it would fit in the mirror hole.
If you can afford it, order extra parts, oil change o-rings, filter basket,
etc. I have brake pads, belt, rollers already bought.
Stadium comes highly recommended.

My xciting 250 2007 has fallen over twice in the driveway. Bummer. Bummer. Just replaced right brake lever from last rainstorm.

Thanks a million guys. The previous owner of my scooter seemed to neglect it a little. I changed the oil the day after I got it. It was super black and dirty. So I put in the new oil and now today the "service oil" light came back on.
Question: should I order a new oil strainer and put in another quart of oil? Anything else I can do?
-
Thanks Urbestfriend and Old Geezer I would never have found that site. I can order everything I need! AWESOME!

Light comes on every 1000 miles. I change my oil every 1000 miles Mobil 1 motorcycle 10/40. She runs like a top. Put 90 miles on her today around town.

Call when you order. They give us a forum discount of 10-15%. I know... It keeps getting better right?

You don't always need a new strainer. I spray mine with alcohol.
However...by accident or whatever there is a chance of ruining
it after repeated oil changes. I overtightened the bottom cover
and broke the flange off. 2 weeks down. Now I have a spare.

I just posted the same thing on another thread. Those drain plugs are fragile. I just SNUG it up. NO FEAR!

You don't need the motorcycle Mobil 1 since you don't have a wet motorcycle clutch. Doesn't make a noticeable difference though.

I use Mobil 1 4T synthetic motorcycle oil, not for the wet clutch which I don't have but for the extra anti wear additives (ZDDP). Good for the valve train.
