It's no use.
He's dead, Jim.
-
Maybe he bought a Honda... :-\
-
It's no use.
He's dead, Jim.
Woke up the guy down the street laughing...
So Press... What gives? You don't need a bike to hank out! Hell I never even had one!
-
It's no use.
He's dead, Jim.
Is there going to be a service?
-
Free your body and soul
Unfold your powerful wings
Climb up the highest mountain
Kick your feet up in the air
You may live forever
Or return to this earth
Unless you feel good where you are!!!
-
The Lord is my Shepherd
I shall not want,
He makes me lie down
in green pastures,
He leads me beside the still waters,
He restores my soul,
Leads me in paths of righteousness
for His name's sake,
Yea though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death
I will fear no evil for You are with me,
Your rod and Your staff
they comfort me,
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies,
You anoint my head with oil,
My cup runs over,
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life
and
I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever
Amen.

Ashes to ashes,

I can change a single word two times in that post, and it becomes the start of a filthy movie. :p
-
I am new here.
Thanks for all the fish.
Someone writes a letter and it becomes the theme song for a movie.

Thanks for all the fish
"So long and thanks for all the fish" is a reference to a book from the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" tetralogy. It is just a humourous way to say goodbye; it calls to mind the leaving of the dolphins from Earth saying thanks for the fish they had gotten.

hmm... now I know....

Welcome to the internet ;D

I'll miss him..
Who is he?
-
Just some scooter nerd from Nashville. No job/wife/kids/car/food/toothbrush/toilet paper/soap. A real blessing to the world. I'll miss him...
-
I think he worked at a sewar treatment plant, maybe he had visions of falling in!
-
sh**ty death! I'd pass on that one...
-
...dang...jpress was okayyyyyy...
..didnt always agree, but i thot he was straight-up...
-
Just messi'n. Don't get upset. Maybe he's moving to Jersey. Him, and 008 are up to something...
-
..maybe he aint really gone...and he's really here as somebody else, reading what we all say about him...
...hhmmm...
-
I think we should call Nashville PD, and do a "well being" check on him... I know which alley he stays in but does anyone know which box is his? The Maytag dryer box or was it a Kenmore fridge box... Either way... I guess the cops can "sniff" him out!
-
...lmfao!!..
..wonder what th fuk is up...
..op was sorta vague.....
-
I was thinking drunk... It was a depressed post! Maybe he rode to a local titty bar, and got his ass beat by a bunch of real bikers. They put his scoot in a tree, and he had to crawl home... Just sayin'.
-
:D
-
..nashville issa baad place...
..all them pointy toed boots and sh**...
-
Maybe he's laughing out loud right now reading all our posts and thinking what a bunch of fools we all are..... ;D ;D ;D
He needs to transfer to a more strict (boring) forum...you know... the one with a MODERATOR....
hey! maybe he can join me here!!!

Usually it's a loose gas cap but since you mentioned tight naman, check disconnected or cracked hoses.
That's the best you got? Cracked hoses? Oh Vivo...

See!!!! That's what you should have said. It sounds like real advice!
Cracked hoses... sh**!
-
..i had a girlfriend once, that could crack a hose..

Suck a golf ball through 20 ft of garden hose?

but I have never "modulated" not even once....
-
1.) I have a job, since March (thanks for the concern). Love it, btw.;
2.) My Kymco blew its third head gasket in four years, and it was impounded illegally (did not allow the statutory time to recover), so I'm done with Kymco, period. The only bike I was interested in (P GT300i) looks as shabby as the Chinese crap I've seen recently, so No, Thank You;
3.) There are other scooter forums that offer scooter-related topics and info at a level much higher than here, these days -- I'll be there, instead of here. Don't hate -- just understand that I came here for a reason, and that reason has diminished over time.

Loving life, loving to ride, sharing good and bad moments with friends .... are all scooter related... and nothing can go higher than that.... !! :)

Glad to hear all is good Bro! I knew you had a great job now. Knew the scoot was gonna bite the bullet on ya too. You like scooters but know very little about how to keep one running. It's ok. The smartest people have no idea why there are holes in things. I know why tho... There has to be a place to put sh**! I understand the power of Diminishing Returns...
ps... Knew you would come back. It's like gravy to a fat kid. Kymco Forum will forever be in your thoughts. HA!
-
Then you suck at modulating then don't you...
Yeah! and unlike jpres, I stay away from other forums to be here... no rules!! just like the wild west! ;D ;D ;D
-
It's like taking a bunch of 40-50 something year old retards on a field trip to a WWF/E Championship ladder match. Then going to Hooters.
As long as someone keeps the lights on... We tend to grunt our way along, and sorta "self modulate". Tip # 12,464 Keep the yellow ones close by All of the time.

I tried to go to one of the other higher level scooter forums, but you have to have a Vespa Blue Key to get in, so I just hocked a big loogy in the lock and left.
I thought the dude was alright, but I'm a f***in' new guy, and I didn't know sh**, but when you can't keep a Kymco running, and then you let the cops confiscate it, and then call a 300i junk, well, some people are just not Kymco capable, so I'm sure he'll be happier on his new Honda Metropolitan, until he buys a new Piaggio, and then finds out they're both made in China.
This place is the best Scoot forum in the world, and I'm honored to be here, and I hope my contributions are appreciated.
But I don't like to be touched, and I don't like anybody touching any of my stuff, so if any of you homos touch me, or any of my sh**, I'll kill ya.
-
I won't say I left another forum for this one but I don't go there much these days. Sounds like the OP has a case of sour grapes in his tone. You don't have to own a Kymco to post here even though the OP tried to pull that crap with me.
I've yet to see a tech question go unanswered in this forum yet so WTF is the OP talking about, sorry he can't turn a wrench. For the record I can't turn one much myself but won't be bitchen about the product, I think it's a good middle of the road scoot, not a Yamaha or Honda but not a hunk of junk either.

... unlike Kymco that is not made in China, but by Native American virgins downtown New York ...
You should all stop behaving like morons towards jp. Many people here ask questions about infamous healing qualities of sea foam, do not know how to fill up gas tank etc. yet you all, great mechanics, tell to jp that he does not know how to keep his scoot running. My scoot was also a dud, Kymco makes them and has quite low quality of used materials. His head gasket was blown three times, what does that have to do with him? It tells a lot about Kymco though.
-
Au contraire, mon square, 3 blown gaskets reveal a pattern of abuse and neglect that is unacceptable to a true aficionado.
The beauty of the Chinese machine is its simplicity, and that is why we mechanics are able to decipher the intricacies of our Kymco scooters. Not so with an overly complicated and tempermental Italian machine, and it's even more difficult with a Japanese puzzle, with proprietary wrenches and special, secret tools only available to dealers.
While we share techniques and procedures as we develop them, it is really the inspiration we hope to achieve, the reassurance afforded to those who pay attention, and the confidence to open a CVT cover, a valve cover, a brake system, a carburetor, and eventually any part that isn't performing.
With proper dedication, anyone can master the art of Kymco mechanics, and those who do so are the only accomplished wrenchers outside of Taiwan, and experience is the only teacher.
Clearly, not everyone is capable of this, and without the interest, even the finest scoots can be flogged to failure, but those riders must disregard symptoms and ignore indications until the inevitable occurs.
Get to know your Kymco, it's your Kymco, and it's beautiful.

There's no such thing as a dud scoot... and yes we act like morons...sometimes... :D ;D :o

I hate cocky mechanics... I have to deal with those dumb asses all the time
Did you really say "a true aficionado" :D

That was beautiful... And the most you've ever said in one post! You are very much apprediated.
I was just gonna answer the 3 blown head gaskets with a quick... The head/jug is warped, and his mechanic sucks... Replace the parts not the gaskets.

So you're saying everybody here but axy is a douche?
:D
You got sh** backwards
-
Yeah that didn't go as well as I hoped, Vivo.
The 815 20 30 Chinawango belt was noticably softer and rubbery than the 23100 KEC4 9000 Bando OEM belt, but very close in overall size. It was a little longer, which I wanted, to allow it to ride up higher on the variator.
So I mounted it with 14 gram rollers in a Koso performance variator, and it worked OK on take off, but the 14 gram rollers dampened the overall RPMs too much, and top end was a slow climb to 60 MPH.
My son came by and wanted to learn about the CVT so he could work on a scooter some Harley dude had, so I opened the Super 8 up again and put 13 gram rollers and the original Bando belt back in while I explained all the functions and ran it up to speed on the center stand so he could see it.
Imagine my surprise when the stock 13 gram rollers and the OEM Bando belt had a snappy takeoff, a virile midrange, and a sturdy top end to 63 MPH when I ran out of road. Here I was dicking around with all my clever notions, when the Kymco engineers had already produced the optimum combination. Durrr.
The cheapo belt would serve as an emergency replacement, but for reliable, competent service, get the original, even if it costs $60.

That was great! At least, question were answered! We get educated everyday!!! true aficionados!!!

1. 200, 250 or 300 cc Italian scooters are not "overly complicated". Mechanics of all scooters of that displacement is the same. Differences may start above 500 cc in premium class, but in that class, all scooters will be equally "complicated".
2. If you ever tried doing some work on Kymco, you would find out that there are also "proprietary wrenches and special, secret tools". They are in fact listed at the very end of service manual for various Kymco models. They are not available only to dealers, you can buy them too. A set would cost roughly like a new 125 cc Kymco scooters.
-
How can you tell if your scooter mechanic is screwing your wife?
Two of his fingers are clean.
-
The only thing I took any exception to was when the OP said (something to the effect of) not much information here any more. As I commented I haven't seen one post/thread go unanswered so I'm not sure what he meant and it seemed like a swipe.

Never... He has no life outside the forum. Sits up in a crappy rented Apt above a German deli wishing he had money to buy some sausage. Or at least enough to buy a hammer so he could get thru the floor. Poor bastard.

Ah, well, he's still too clever by half, and it won't be long before he knocks the knacks off the Honda trying to run the interstate on a 125.
He ponged that poor People doing that, evidently. I ravaged my Grand Vista for a short stint at 75 MPH on the same stretch of road that Al Unswer Jr. got busted for DWI at 100 MPH, but that was just to see how fast it could go, not how long it took to blow up.
For $4500 he could have bought a Majesty, even from a dealer.

I take back the kind word I said about him that one time. He's a fruit cake!
