anyone know how to remove the mirrors from a dt300?
looks like maybe a 10mm nut holding them down but I can't get a socket or anything in there to loosen

If it's like the People 300, the bolts that are accessed by removing rubber plugs are NOT the bolts that attach the mirror to the handlebar.  The nuts you want are under the rubber boot that surrounds the base of the shaft that attaches the mirror to the handlebar -- IF the Downtown is like the People.
