I talked with Josh from the scooter garage today about carbs since my s9 still isnt running right after I put a top end on as Carver's scooter shop said. He sent me a couple of links and I want to know opinions on best bang for the buck aftermarket carbs.
Here is the Malossi 19mm carb. Bolts right on but is $163. A german website had it for $123 but says they cannot sell to USA.

I plan on getting a BBK in the future so I need to make sure I wont out grow it. You guys who run the Arreche and others, how do you get it to bolt up?

I assume you're talking about the 19mm Malossi carb kit right? If so that is a Dellorto carb too. Malossi just puts it in the kit.
Dellorto 19mm is an awesome carb. I couldn't be happier with my Dellorto/Malossi kit. Not sure about Arreche. Not that they're bad, I think they're decent. Just never seen anyone with one. IMO the carb is the last place you want to skimp.

Yes, it is the Malossi carb kit. Im glad to hear it works good on your Peters. I will feel a lot better about spending the money on it. Josh hooked me up with the Mallossi/Dellorto carb. The manual that came with it is kind of vague. I have a few questions about the install. Do I leave on the part that screws onto the top of the carb where my middle finger is? If it removed how do I get it off? Do I have to premix or is there a spot on the carb for the oil injection? If I do premix I found a write up from vdubn that will help out with the removal of the pump and all of the parts. Does anybody have a pic of good install places for the choke?

The carb should have come with two cables. One is a choke cable, and the other goes to the throttle cable "splitter". You can use the existing cable (that's on the bike) but getting the cap off can take a bit of messing around. There's a metal circlip that holds it onto the end of the cable. You can get it off with a couple of hook picks and some patience.
It's better/easier just to swap out the cable.

This is the link to the carb I bought. I couldnt buy it directly from the site but Areomyst hooked me up with it and a ton of tech support. Everything is on except I am looking for a place to hook up the oil injection. The directions that came with it are vague. I am thinking that I remove the silver tab next to the choke cable on the bottom pic?

YW. I do not see one but there is a vertical tab that is close to the intake. I believe there are 3 tabs that can be removed. 2 are across from each other in the slide area, and one is that vertical that is close to the intake.

Yes. I havent messed with any of them in case they are not supossed to come out? I am hoping that one pops off and the injection will plug in.

Not sure about that. I've been running pre-mix since I put my carb on.

heya Jimmy, are you in st louis? If you are pm me and when I get back in town I can help you out with some tuning if you need. Or if nothing go out riding with our group. Usually at least 5 of us scooter / mopeds / old old old motorcycles all roll downtown , washington ave, central west end, and Clayton. Usual hooliganism is always in mind. Were loud and have a lot of fun.

Yes it was Bobby Carver's shop. I am from south county, Saint Louis. I just ordered some jets (thanks Peters), and when I get it dialed in I would be down to cruise around downtown or wherever you guys go. :)
