Title: headlight aiming

Has anyone tried to lower the aim of the headlight on their bike yet? Mine came adjusted to high. I thought the screw just under the headlight would do it but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Well, I guess I'll be answering my own question. After looking the head light unit over and over I noticed that the long hexagonal screw sticking out of the bottom of the headlight housing is not an alignment screw like in most cars and motorcycles, but an alignment locking screw. Mine was loose and causing the inner reflector to be loose and bobble around when going over bumps and also was aimed to high. I pushed the screw up and down and noticed that the inner reflector moved up and down with the screw. With the screw loose you just have to move the screw up or down till you have the right height and then tighten the same screw firmly at that height. The headlight really does a great job of lighting up the road on low and especially high beam. Problem solved.

Thanks for the tip, modmaster.  Your instructions worked like a charm.  Too bad the 300's toolkit doesn't include the proper-sized wrench.  Fortunately, I had one in my tool chest.  Now it lives in the 300.  Also, I wish there was a bit more travel to the adjustment.  I have mine set all the way down, and it's still just a bit high.
