I saw a post by someone here a long time ago saying that cam's were available for the X500, but no matter how much I searched, I could never find any? Sliding in a higher torque cam would be real nice. I'll bet someone makes them in Taiwan, Germany and so on? :-*

i had contacted before that makes racing cams for the xciting there in the usa but i have to ship may stock cams there and would cost $1,500 w/o shipping.. already contacted a local shop here, hopefully it will cost just under $250

$1,500.00? They must think were stupid? $250.00 sounds about right. Will you get cams more for torque or H.P. I would think torque would suit a big single scoot better? :-*

yup and i also contacted the shop that can install a turbo for the xciting.. $2,900 for it!!! honestly i have no problems with torque or hp but a little extra won't hurt..what i really want is to increase the top speed. my xciting can top the speedometer from a stand still with ease even if i'm 240lbs, 6''2 without tucking down.. so i guess transmission has to be modified but to scared to experiment with the malossi pulley. too expensive to play with and no shops sell them here.

(malossi on line) I think it's www.malossionline.com (http://www.malossionline.com) has the best prices. I would get the kit that has both pulley halfs/complete variator and their belt. The kit comes with their clutch torque spring also. I think what I would do is try going up in roller weight to reduce RPM's at freeway speeds first. This way it's still stock and weights are cheap. Can you send a link to the turbo? I doubt I would go that route due to price? But it would be interesting to take a look at. 8) :-*

How can you use flying sliders and Dr P sliders at the same time? I may be an idiot, but I don't understand? Also, how does this set up work on your bike performance wise? Did it lowwer RPM's at freeway speeds? :-*

i mean the 3 plastics that slide on the back half of the pulley. at first rpm's are higher but at highway speeds it's lower by 500rpms. on stock pulley may rpm is at 8,500 top speed on the malossi it's only at 8,000. installed a dr. pulley clutch today. hopefully will have time to test tom.

Forgot to ask? Who does the cam for $250.00? I doubt I would do it, but I would like to talk to them as to what improvements it would make and at what RPM's. If I ever had to do a valve job and such, I would think about it. :-*

yep that's it. The shop that does cam profiling is from here in the philippines. Oh and so a site and he mentioned JE Pistons. Not sure if they have them on stock or if they will make a custom pistons. He installed a 95mm bore and the result is 531cc...
