Title: start noise

I would really like some help with this one...l took my GV IN FOR ITS 4,000  CHECK....I also told them there was a ...SPLIT SECOND WHIRLING SOUND AS IT STARTED.....absolutely no problem starting, just this annoying sound as if something is starting to wear out...they said forget it, its just a noise, means nothing...I'am a teacher and I found this exclamation outrageous...could he be remotely right...a sound just  happens at 4,000 miles...don'nt worry ???....THANKS.....

same thing happened to me before, 1st the whirling noise then other noises came out... not sure if we have the same problem. turned out my bendix drive was worn out.

my mileage was around 18,+++ miles
