Title: Mizzle tires
Post by: Vivo on June 22, 2012, 05:21:13 AM: Just wondering why this tire is so popular here in this part of the world. We have Michelins, Pirellis, Dunlops ,etc. but Mizzle stands out with regards to performance and quality. Is this tire brand available in the U.S. and Europe, if yes, have you guys tried it?

Regardless of quality and price, you could sell close to zero "Mizzles" in Croatia. :)

We've had some attempts to import Chinese tires and they failed miserably. I do not know anything about their quality and performance though, compared to European/American/Japanese counterparts.

p.s. I know that tires are produced all over the world and these are just brands.

Post by: Vivo on June 22, 2012, 08:01:07 AM: Ah ...ok.... We have US, Euro, Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, Japanese, Taiwanese and Korean. Mizzle is Indonesian. Another Indonesian brand is Swallow, IRC is Thai... Bridgestone, Dunlop, Pirelli, Michelin are also preferred.

Korean Kumhos have earned a pretty good name for value in the US. They are great for the money.

Michelins are the best IMO. Well worth the extra cost. Very quite well made durable tires.

I have absolute crap Michelin tires on my car.

Also, I have the WORST TIRES in the history of scooter industry. Continental ContiTwist. Continental is supposed to be a major German brand.

(It seems that I am a very lucky person...)

Those Conti Twist got good reviews online, i almost got some last year :-\

Ended up on Bridgestone ML50 Molas instead and i love them.

It is difficult to explain how tires grip, but listen to this: Conti Twist has dry grip like other tires in wet.

Yes, it is possible.

I haven't seen something like this since 1999 and OEM tires on Kymco Cobra Cross 50.

Post by: Vivo on June 23, 2012, 01:53:28 AM: Maybe choosing tires depends on the way you ride, miles travel per day and of course budget. There's no one perfect tire for a scoot, is there? I have no issues with the Chengs I have. It's got more than 8,000 on it already and still looks brand new. Of course I would get a better one when the time comes.
