Title: Low gas milage in a super 9

Hello, I recently bought a used 2002 l/c super 9. I calculate the milage and I look to be getting only 40-45mpg (in city traffic). As far as I can tell there is no leakage and the scooter doesn't have any mods. It only has about 4500k on it. Any ideas what could be causing the low milage?

2002 l/c super 9

..that's about normal for a 2002...

..might try a new plug and clean your air filter..

The way you operate your scoot will affect your milage , also the tire inflation . I run 30-32 psi in mine . Good luck .

My 2004 LC Super 9 with NO MODS only gets 45-53mpg (14,000 km.)  These performance 2 strokes really don't get very good mileage compared to the much slower 4 stroke 50cc scoots.  But they are much more fun!

I've heard many of the modded Super 9s with performance cylinders only get 29-30 mpg.

If your scoot is running good, and the plug looks fine, then I wouldn't worry about the mileage.  It's in the range of normal for this scoot.
