Just bought a Grip N Ride from Leatherup.com. My son will find it handy to hold on to, and I won't have to worry as much, either.

Any one out there used on of these, or something of the sort?

Cool, should work fine.
If my 9yr old is on the back of mine she holds onto the adjusting straps at the the bottom of my leather jacket, same position as the grip & ride.
She hasnt ever fallen off.......................yet :)

Vivo, I was debating on this; but in the horrible event something were to happen, I don't want my son to be stuck to me. If an accident didn't harm him, being strapped to his father who weighs 3 times as much as he does will.
Streido, here's to safe riding with our youngsters! I have a heightened sense of awareness if I would bring him, but that doesn't eliminate all of the jackasses out there!

Yeah i always ride a lot more cautiously with the kid on the back, too many idiots on the roads here too.
We only do short trips really, like from school or to her dance/cheer classes, 1-3 miles at most but she loves it, always jumps off with a bike smile and likes getting seem on it to show off to her pals :D Think shes going to be a biker
Dont mind her on it but my son is 15 this year and almost 6' so when he's on it with me my little A50 goes slow anyway. :D

I was thinking the same also. When my 7 year old daughter rides with me (she loves scooter more than the car) she just holds on to me and just ride slow.
