I just finished a ride, odometer had 204.5 miles when i left, 368 when i got back for 163.5 total miles ridden today. When i got back i filled up, 1.7 gallons, wow, that is 96 MPG. Anyone else get that high of gas mileage??
I rode pretty hard, first 10 miles I rode it at redline on the interstate to get to Route 66, so that was at 65 mph. All riding was higher elevations, my house is at 5300 feet, so I probably rode from 4500 - 6500 feet elevation. Average speed was probably 55 mph.
It took a long time before one bar dropped on the gas gauge and I ended the ride with it just dropping to 2 bars.

I've had varying mpg's, but usually because I'm not on top of my tire pressure. My best is 88mpg as of two fill-ups ago. I'm averaging close to 80 mpg's for the nearly 2600 miles that I've owned mine (bought with zero miles from dealer). It's a great scooter.
One thing I have noticed, is that if I'm doing any sort of distance and keeping the mph around 55, my mileage is a hell of a lot better. I live in Vermont, though, so I'm not dealing with the thin air here at all.
Keep things posted on your average. Use fuelly.com, and use their banner, too, so you can always have it updated at the bottom of your postings.
The nice thing is, once the scoot is broken in, the mpg's should be consistent and somewhat improved (though nothing to write home about).

I've had varying mpg's, but usually because I'm not on top of my tire pressure.
I get 90mpg on my 125cc. I want to top my tire pressure but the Chengs are really very hard any my butt cannot really handle it. I can only fill in 25-26psi, nothing more.

i set my tire pressure per the manual, which i believe was 25 front and 28 rear....i had a good uphill twisty ride to scrub them in good lol, luckily i was at a tight point where the speed limit was 45, which i was going, as a county cop was sitting after one of the turns, be hell getting a ticket on a scooter lol

Yeah, I've been let off by the locals a couple of times. Even going 60 in a 40, the officer just let me go. I think there's a definite hang up with them about giving me a ticket because I'm on a scooter. I find that I drive my car faster, too, because I just go as fast as I can on my Yager :)
Last week, I passed 3 (yes, Three!) cars in a 50 mph zone. I hit 67 passing them. The lead driver looked at me really awkward, as if something was really wrong - he looked confused. Perhaps it was the "WTF, I'm being passed by a scooter?!" :D

haha, yep, one thing about a scooter compared to the motorcycles I've had, takes a little bit to pass, i was following a truck towing and empty utitility trailer yesterday, he was going exactly 55, which was the speed limit, finally got a little downhill section and I passed him

Xciting 250 2007 averaging 67-72.5 miles per gallon over last 2500 miles. Better mileage when I add Seafoam and good gas Chevron, Shell, Exxon not Circle K or Costco. 88 mpg rocks!

The Yager and Like 200 both have amazing MPG figures for their engine size, check the fuelly.com community too!

My Yager started at 77 mpg and is now running 95-98 mpg with 10000+ on it. Eat smoke, 50cc!

95-98, that is amazing...i was really pleased, i figured with the little bit of miles I have on it that it would be in the 60's, i'm going to get out again I hope soon, have a good ride to the mountains in the north I want to do....going to be over 200 miles, but very scenic route though the Jemez Mountains and then go through Santa Fe and back down north Hwy 14 which is a bunch of twisties on the backside of the Sandia Mountains, then back home

Vivo, where is that superb road?? It took about 4000 miles for the Yager to "break-in" and the mileage to start climbing.....

Baguio, Philippines. One way going up, up, up, then down, down, down, then all the zigzags you want..

That's what Dr Pulley sliders are for!
Drop in some 10-15% lighter ones then your stock rollers, and it'll go uphill
as well it goes on a straight now, and will probably lower your revs near the
top end.

What are the standard weight of rollers for the 200i? I will HAVE to inspect the CVT soon and might just put in a set of lighter rollers or sliders while I am at it.

Hey Crossbolt, I believe the standard weight is 17gr (20x15). I just swapped mine out to 16gram I believe. Rough couple of weeks, my mind is mushy but I believe the stock number above is accurate.

Gee - I'm envious. For about the first 4000 miles, I was regularly getting 87mpg. Now I can't seem to do better than 75mpg. I originally thought this was due to a dirty air filter and old spark plug, but I'm still mpg challenged at 5800 miles. My Yager is 15 months old.

i thought I read in another thread that when you swap out the weights the acceleration is better, but lose on the top end, which would seem to be correct

swap to lighter weights = better acceleration

Lighter weights = Better acceleration, Heavier weights = Better top end. I have 16g sliders in my Yager and I just ordered a set of 19g sliders. I do a lot of riding at 60 - 65 MPH. I'm hoping the RPM's will be lower at top speed. I don't know how much you people weigh but my Scoot, lugging my 200lb butt around only gets 65 MPG. Granted I'm usually riding WOT.

Lighter weights = Better acceleration, Heavier weights = Better top end.
This can be a bit misguiding as people will tend to assume that heavier weights
will give the bike better acceleration near the top speed OR a higher top speed.
The first won't happen, and the second will happen only very rarely.

What's the stock size of the weights?
If it's anywhere near 16g, you probably overdone it with 19g.
Because of the way sliders work, even going 10% less then stock rollers can drop your
top speed, because it won't let the bike rev out high enough. That's what happened
to me when I went from 15.5g stock round ones to the 14g sliders on DT300.
It's probably even more pronounced with smaller engined scoots.
I'd move 0.5g or 1g at a time.

Try using fuel with NO ethanol and call me in the morning!
I guess the only way to find what is in my variator is to disassemble and weigh....

Well I installed the 19g sliders last night. I'll be damned if I can notice much of a difference. Top end is still 65 MPH @ 8000 RPM. Guess I need a bigger Scoot. I'm sure the Wifey won't mind. ::)

I can't believe the mpg's on the Yager! I have 3700 miles on my scooter and get an average of 93 mpg. Love the Yager!

Well now I'm running 3 16g + 3 19g sliders in my variator and it feels good. I put a 1/2" drill through the rear baffles in the muffler. I'm also trying to ride without going WOT every time I take off. I've gone from 65 MPG to 75MPG, I'm Happy.
