Title: Pricing My Super 9
Post by: Dr_VanNostren on June 01, 2012, 09:34:54 PM

Hello,

I'm writing the forum because I have a 2004 Super 9 that I'd like to sell, but I have no idea how much to ask. I know that many people in the buying public probably don't appreciate the LC Super 9s the way someone here would - that is, they would look at is as just "another 8 year old scooter." Anyway, the scoot has probably 2,500 miles, has always been garaged and is in excellent condition. It's also bone stock. I'm not looking to squeeze every last penny out of the scoot, I just want to get a fair price, so I'm asking the community how much a machine like this might be worth.

BTW, I'm selling not because I lost interest in scooters, but because I've been riding a Vespa with a little more displacement for the past several years and unfortunately its time for my Kymco to go.

Thanks for your help.

They ate worth about 35-40 bucks. If you promise not to tell on me I will give you 100.00. Just cause I like red.
Kelly Blue Book has a free price guide on line. I believe the scoot is worth 1,500 retail, and 980 trade. If I were to but in in similar condition I would stay at the trade price or lower. There are half a zillion of them so the biggest advantage is the fact it is stock/water cooled.

If it were me I would not sell it for less than a grand for sure . I would probably shoot for $1,150-1,200 and see what kind of responses I got . If I dont get the response I want in a week or 10 days I add OBO to the advertized price . Good luck .

Thanks to everyone who replied. I think I'll list the scoot locally on CL at $1,150 and see what happens. Wish me luck. Someone is going to get a nice Super 9.

That is a fair price to offer. Good luck with it.   Hey! mention the Forum to the New owner. It's a great resource.

Doc, I have a 2004 Super 9 LC with maybe 9-10,000 miles on it.  It's in as good condition as yours....absolutely cherry, never been down, no mods and beautifully running up to 48-50 mph.  Never been tipped over.  I am the original owner & I get offers all of the time, people asking if I would sell, and I resist.

I tell them I would advertise for $1100-1200 but would settle for $1,000!  IF I WERE SELLING.

Don't go below that, you have NO MILES on that thing!

This vehicle is look like nice condition and good or proper  use by you. Your vehicle look like my brother's vehicle. He bought just $1000 in second hand condition. So I think you get around $1000 of it.

Whats for sale up there? I might be interested in an S9 just so I could ride with the kids on their Barbie cars.
