I love my Like, but the body panels on it are like a puzzle box. I'm trying to remove my air filter to service it and an having trouble removing the bottom panel that covers the top 3 screws of the filter box. Does anyone know if there are anything other than the two screws and plastic tabs that hold this piece in place? I started to remove it then got worried about breaking the tabs. It's part # 83601 in this diagram.
I'll probably just get a socket screwdriver adapter and slowly work the screws out but if anyone knows the proper way to remove this panel without damaging it that would be cool.

Never mind, figured it out myself. After the screws are removed from the front and rear of the panel, the whole piece slides to the rear of the scooter then pops out, giving you access to the top three screws of the air box.

Thanks for the tip. This will come in handy for anyone else removing the panels.

Yep, I just did it today too, and it's mega easy.
2 chrome screws on the left side of the bike where the trim piece is, and one black screw that holds the trim to the fender liner. Work front to back and you'll see the tabs that slide lock!
getting the filter cover off is kind of a pain though since you have to remove something like 8 screws. haha bleh.

Which air filter is the one you are talking about .Are there 2 ?The one in the airbox on the side? Is there is another one I am not aware of?

Yeah thanx Dolemite, I wondered how that panel came off. I'm just about to do service on the air filter and that'll help. ;)

sliding panels are a dumb idea, thanks for the heads up
