And finally my ongoing long term project, been 4-5yrs now, my 1971 VW Beetle. Totally stripped it down to the chassis tunnel, replaced almost every panel for new. Still got about 10-15% of the metal work to finish then i can start to prep it all for paint. No idea when it'll be finished, keep getting sidetracked with scooters lately ::)

Im hoping someone is building a Hover-bike or some insane invention in their garage. I love people who just fabricate and built weird and wonderful objects/machines.
I remember my son and i built a "ski-bike" a few yrs ago, mountain bike with skis instead of wheels. Went good downhill in the snow but was a nitemare pulling it back uphill. Eventually we turned it into 2x "ski-scooters" using 2x micro-scooters. Fitted a ski to each with shick mounts between for suspension, worked pretty well and easy to haul back uphill too. Still got em in the garage, somewhere :-\

Hopefully the Picts. came out. The jeep is a total front end rebuild, the boat is one of mine, and the scoots are both running for the first time together. No Robots this week
FUK Now my Picts aren't showing................. I'll get it.

I use my smartphone to take pics and upload to my mobile photobucket application immediately. With the PC, I login to my photobucket account, choose pics, then copy URL to post to the thread
I have 2 projects. Will post pics and details later...

I got one out of the camera...

Great scoot Bro! Nice boat too!

The ZX has a newly rebuilt (by me) '09 Agility fork set, and the Agility's Dual piston caliper. I have ceramic Malossi pads, and they do work.
The green one is getting the ZX's 12" front end, and it's own dual piston set. Eventually the Green one will be the water cooled 115cc 2t extra case I have. That's the one getting the Burial pipe... For now it gets 55 but does just fine at 50 w/ a GY6. It still gets about 100 miles to a tank. And yes w/ the OEM air box.

87cc BBk...
-
so you got your burial pipe too?....

That was finally shipped last Wednesday. Hell it took a month to find. My WC kit was shipped 4-5 days ago so I should be swamped w/ packages. I also have a case of Spectro synth 2t coming. That's all got to sit for a while too. I have to make the dough-nuts, and deliver them first.
-
Nice boat too! My cousin there has a Yamaha Runabout...
-
That one is a customers. I'll borrow a boat but I won't own a boat. Other hobbies, and all.
I did this entire boat Everything on it, in it , and made just for it. Two years start to finish. Start was a rotten hull...
-
I want to own a boat. Live on the islands and no boat! damn! :'(
-
Cool. Wish i had a place the size of your, looks like a small barn? I can barley swing a cat in mine.
Thought the zx was red? Or was that another scoot you had? Like the naked look but in this country its too wet to ride without bodypanels really, i'd get soaked, or it would need to be a fair weather scoot.
Also like the boat you did, what is it, wooden hull? We got an old wooden boat in our yard from the Dunkirk evacuation in WW2. Loads of private boats owners went over to rescue the stranded soldiers off the beach before the Gerries massacred them all, anything that floated basically went to help at the time from England. Anyway one is here, or what remains of it is here. Was meant to be a project for apprentices to rebuild but just never gotten round to it yet.
When does the robots and ironman suit projects begin? Someone out there must be building something totally bonkers and off the wall?
-
The buildings are actually boat storage sheds. I happen to have a captive audience down there.
The scoot was green, white, red, black/white, and now black/orange. I'm doing the foot well over in flat dark charcoal gray. I paint alot.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaathe old boat is a 1956 Cris Craft 28' Sedan W/ Fly bridge. It is #140 of 140, and one of 28 known running boats of it's type. That's the project that established my business down here. I like to see old boats brought back. It is a labor of love.
Like scootin'
