Very easy. Borrow a shop with a press or have them pressed. It will take under 15 minutes to complete.

So this isn't a weekend warrior, do it urself in the garage with generic tools kinda job?

With a freezer/oven/hammer/vise/sockets... You can do it at home but it may take all day to mess it up vs 15 minutes at a shop. Just bring the old gears, and the new ones. They will know what to do. Any guy that does drive shafts/ball joints will have a press. 20 bucks would suffice if it were me.

Will check out machine shops around here. Do I need to replace any seals/bearings at the same time? Thanks

YES. Other wise it is a waste of time. Look at the side of the seal. There are three seeming random numbers in a circle. One # is the OD of the seal, one is the ID, and one is the width. Match them up at ANY auto parts or Ace hardware for about five bucks. Same goes for the bearings. F' Kymco's 30 dollar parts.
You don't need a machine shop either... A local mechanic shop will do. Even most tire shops. Just find an older guy... No trainee kids.
