I don't know why this forum is so different. Skad gives us PLENTY of room here to run and play. I know alot of people get turned off immediately but MOST people that visit get the help they came for, and a few laughs as well. As for the ones that take offense? Go back to your censored little worlds, and suck on some cold hard facts!
I truly believe we have made enough friends here to be able to travel anywhere in the world we would like. The true nature of the people here is too spontaneous to be "faked". If you're the type of person that only seeks data, and "Chip Chip Cheerio" fake ass, pretentious patronizing... I don't have time to waste reading your made up persona bullsh**. Any time i ever had a problem and put up a post i always got a response and/or advice in a few hours? Most i ever waited was a day, 2 at most? Its an active forum, someone will always help out if you need it, no matter what the question or problem is, i have never had an unanswered question ever on here, best forum on the web :)
I got a Vespa and joined a couple of Vespa forums just before xmas, put up some questions and i still havent had ONE reply yet to some of my threads, one of my questions is still the last post put up, even after 4-5months !!! I just gave up on those forums now.

Agreed. There are not many open forums that have soo many active members willing to add what they know to help work a problem out. Most of the others "specialize" in selling their product or have a sh** load of idiots yelling at you to buy a "Japomadeto" because yours is a pile of sh**. People here from 50-500cc's share their experiences/knowledge, and build an answer for everyone no matter what they ride.
It's imposable to knock down this forum because honestly no one here is insecure enough to give a sh** about negative people. (Other than to feel sorry for them, and try to get them out of that "funk".)

There is something to be said for keeping a thread on topic, if people are going to sidetrack the thread just beacuse they don't care to comment on the OP then it detracts from the forum as a whole. Nothing wrong with an offhanded comment but things here seem to get very carried away at times. I imagine that the OP feels he/she wants their points addressed without the sidetracking.

its easily done though, all it takes is for one person to mention summit and the topic is taken completly off course. usually happens after the person has had there question awnsered. i would name a couple of people who side track threds myself included. we all just wanna have fun, theres no point in being serious 24-7 that kills the forum let alone the thread. i welcome people to have a joke because it shows we aint obsessed with the machines in which this forum was made, yea we will awnser and help with any question you have but you cant expect us to be really anal and not expect us to have a little fun now and again.

Agreed but if the OP is not answered then the OP has wasted their time and the forum will sooner or later lose that member. Jokes associated with the question seem reasonable jokes that just go off and take the thread on a whole new road I think are wrong. Generally questions get answered and opinions are given to posts, then it moves on and evolves into something else entirely. No bad thing. Imagine you were at a diner meet or car park meet talking with other scooter guys about scooter problems or scooter related things, hell even just talking sh**. Someone asks a question about pistons,they all talk about it for a bit then someone say "Damn,remember that time Johnny threw a piston at 120mph".The conversation moves that way for a while and onto other things no-one would ever say "STOP!! Listen guys we are discussing MY piston problem.Please stop telling stories and get back on topic".Wouldnt happen.

I own a Kymco people 200, love the scoot, picked it up used with 700 miles on it, it's an 09 model. Haven't ridden it much yet but will be very soon, love riding, it makes a great scoot for my 6 mile commute. I'm sure I've posted in the scoot part of the forum

its easily done though, all it takes is for one person to mention summit and the topic is taken completly off course. usually happens after the person has had there question awnsered. i would name a couple of people who side track threds myself included. we all just wanna have fun, theres no point in being serious 24-7 that kills the forum let alone the thread. i welcome people to have a joke because it shows we aint obsessed with the machines in which this forum was made, yea we will awnser and help with any question you have but you cant expect us to be really anal and not expect us to have a little fun now and again.
I think that everybody should have as much fun as they want in General/Chat forums, not in model specific forums. Also, posting irrelevant/joke pics and videos in scooter forums should be banned.

HOW TO EAT A BANANA ......
1. Before you actually eat the banana, take moment to look carefully at it. Notice its shape, color, markings, contours, textures. If the banana is not ripe, it will be greenish. An older banana will have brown splotches on the skin. Feel the weight of the banana in your hand--the weight is due to the water content of the banana. Consider these facts relating to your banana: as shipped to the store where you bought it.
It grew on a plant that has to be propped up to prevent it from falling over.
Your banana took 8-10 months to grow.
It was cut and carried by hand.
It was separated from other bananas by hand in a packing shed.
It was washed in a large tank of moving fresh water.
It was packed for shipping in a 40-pound corrugated box.
It was padded with plastic film and paperboard to protect it from bruising.
It was transported into a refrigerated truck-sized contained and driven to a port, where is it was loaded onto a container ship. All of the above happened within two days of the banana being cut from the plant.
During the long boat ride, your banana was kept at 58 degrees Fahrenheit and was monitored closely.
After arriving at its destination port, your banana spent anywhere from four to eight days in a ripening room, where temperature and humidity are carefully controlled and ethylene gas is used to speed up the ripening.
When your banana was greenish yellow, it was shipped to the store where you bought it.
A banana "bunch" grows on a single (and huge) flower stalk.
2. Don’t peel the banana; instead, use the knife to cut off one end. Cut off about ¼ of your banana. It’s far better to throw some food away than to eat more than we need. Throwing away part of your banana is one way to get used to the idea of not eating all the food available. If you find yourself thinking that it’s wasteful to throw away food, that’s normal. Go ahead and throw away your ¼ of the banana anyway.
3. Now peel the remaining part of the banana. Discard the skin.
4. Use your knife to cut your banana into 15 - 20 pieces.
5. Before eating any of it, spend a moment looking at the cut-up banana, the pieces just waiting there for you to enjoy. Put your nose close to the banana and take a good whiff of banana aroma.
6. Eat the banana pieces one at a time. It may be easier for you to use the fork or the toothpick to pick up the banana pieces.
7. Eat each piece slowly, carefully, completely. Don’t put a piece of banana in your mouth until you’re completely done with the one you’re chewing.8. During the eating of each piece, bring your mind to some aspect of the food. Here are some suggestions of what you can think about with each piece of banana:

notice the texture and how it changes as you chew
focus on the sweetness of the banana
enjoy the creaminess of the banana
pay attention to the movements of your teeth, lips and tongue as you eat the banana
notice if the taste of the banana piece is any different in different parts of your mouth
think about the energy in the banana and how that energy originally came from the sun
imagine the effort it took to harvest your banana
see the person who make the box or carton used to package the banana
follow the movement of the banana from the tropics to your state
see the truck driver who drove the truck carrying your banana
see the person at the market as he or she handled the banana and placed in on display
imagine what kind of effort you would have to exert if you had to all the steps yourself: plant the banana, harvest it, package it and transport it before you could even consider eating it
