Got stopped on my way home from work last night for nipping into the bus lane to get past some stationary traffic in a queue. 2 cops had just passed me going in the opposite direction on police scooters so they obviously took a liking to my little Kymco and wanted a betrer look at it ::) They mustve U turned as soon as they passed me and been following me from a distance. Soon as i cut back into the traffic queue i got the blue lights come on behind me and turned to see a copper on a scoot sat beside me :o "Just pull over round the corner will you" , " Yes officer, no problem" lol.
They checked out all my details and saw i was 100% legal etc, gave me some sensible advice, then we had a general chat about riding and scooters before they told me to ride safe and enjoy myself "but keep out the bus lanes" . I honestly assumed i would get a ticket but i didnt, they were genuinely nice guys and i feel the way they dealt with me was great. I honestly will not drive in THAT buslane again and will head their advice. Had they come on all petty and been a pair of dicks about it then i wouldve had no respect for them or their words and would prob ignore anything they said, as it was i will respect their advice and take it on board.
Shame a few other cops dont take on this kind of policing method, it could work wonders. So to conclude, all cops are not evil sons of satan, some are normal human beings just like us.

Its an electric scooter, think it was called a Vectrix or something similair. Said they liked them a lot, had heated grips and everything on it.

New York city cops a generally REAL guys. Not sweating the petty sh** as it wewe. Florida cops on the other hand are Mostly out for points, and will give you the "stop resisting" bit every chance they get. Maybe they don't have to pay for ammo/taser batteries here, as they Do in NY.

Seriously though, most of them are good people. I've been through several license check points and other than gettin right in my face to smell my breath they just ask: "Is that a 50?" Yep. "So you don't even need a license for that do you?" Nope... "Damn, sounds good. What did you do to it?" Exhaust. "Alright have a good day." Brrrruuuhhhheeeehhhhh Peace piggies!

In Missouri, this lack of what's legal has gotten many of my friends pulled over, hassled, and wrongly issued a ticket. You would think they should at least know that.

The fines im ok with, it'd be worth the fine just to see his face lol.
Over here we got a points system, 3 points minimum for speeding and a fine tho it can be an automatic ban if going over 100mph (on an Agility 50??? Yeah right). Get over 12 points and you get a ban too. Last i looked at my license i was on 6 points from 2 speeding offences, not from riding tho. If they had wanted to be strict i couldve got another 3 points and a fine too.

Blue's got it running again using a mixture of cable-ties, duck-tape, string and old lawnmower parts so we can legally take the piss at his expense again now.
He can even cut the lawn now as he rides thanks to those blades he fitted in place of his centre stand ;D

blue isnt that bad is he? then again using your scoot to mow the grass does sound rather involving just dont put it on centre stand while blades are in motion.

Here the cops are studying up on scoots and they are geting to know the laws on theam.
if they want they can make you get the cycle license. and insurance. thats if they catch you
going over 30. it use to be wear when you buy a scoot from a dealer they cant make the scoot go faster then 30 now the dealer is makeing extra coin from the buyer to make theam go faster.
a few of the dealers around here are puting in big bore kits and all.
