Title: Fuel Leak from float drain
Post by: rivermate01 on April 01, 2012, 05:54:14 PM
I have a MXU 375 and a fuel leak is now visable around the carb float drain. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Empty the fuel tank.
There are gaskets that may have gone bad. Pull the carb, and take it apart to see what is happening. It may just be loose screws

If there is fuel coming out of the float bowl drain, check to see that the drain screw is tight...
But it doesn't need a heavy hand on the screwdriver.

Another posibility is that the needle valve is not shutting off.  Then a new needle valve is needed
unless there is an obstruction that keeps the valve open.  You can try tapping on the carb with a wooden mallet.

Mary K, Can I use your post as a copy paste? I think Lots of things here could be fixed with a mallet...
