Title: 2008 mxu 500 electrical problem
Post by: Bailey on April 01, 2012, 02:54:15 PM
Hi there i was wondering if anyone out there could help me. My machine has a problem with a relay or something. It will not even try to turn over. The key has power but i dont seem to have power at the start switch. Also i dont have power to the main fuse at fuse block but i dont know if there should be power there until its running. I have more less taken the bike all apart and looked at all the wireing and it all looks good includeing the ground. The display doesnt light up at all. So if anyone has a suggestion of where i could start looking i would greatly appreciate it

I had the exact same problem, power to the ignition, headlights work, no display, no blown fuse everything looked ok. electrical wiring an myself do not get along. Finally found small amount of corrosion in fuse holder as well as fuse posts, cleaned holder contacts an replaced ignition fuse
it solved the problem. may or may not work for you good luck
