I have only used the Michelin Gold Standard tires on mine with good results, & good milege. They seem to handle well, but I am not really into sport stuff. I really just tour. I do wish someone would come out with a long wearing radial touring tire in our sizes. But our rear tire seems to be somewhat of an odd ball size? :-*

I have sworn (amongst many other loyal Heidenau fans), these are the best out there, I put them on my buddy, double the life, and great grip. Available in 'S' speed rating without worry. PROPERGerman manufacturer, not just a German name, I just (on Friday) put a new K66 on the rear of my x500, so to early for any reviews, but they are awesome, and made for wet conditions.......

They did replace the Gold Standard tire, but a few places still have some in stock. Try motorcycle super store first. :-*

Josh from www.thescootergarage.com/ (http://www.thescootergarage.com/) is a  Heidenau dealer. He'll hook you up. Also I believe the Pirelli Diablo is Steel Radial in your size. I think they are the ONLY steel in scooter tires...

Check out Avon also, but if I remember the only radial rear tires I could find for our X500 was in the size 150/60-14 only, not 150/70-14. I think this would make the tire a little shorter than stock? :-*

Forgot to ask? What did the K66 cost? Tire only, not with shipping and such. :-* Nice looking tire, I'll try one when my new Mich Gold Standard wears out. :-*

yes, 3/10's of an inch does not seem like much, but it would drop the MPG, and maybe handle worse as the tire would be lowwer & more narrow?  :-*

I paid $129.63 (Free shipping thrown in). Do some searching on modernbuddy.com and modernvespa.com to find out how good these are.
I only bought the rear, but will get a front when there is less life on the current one.

Usually a 60 series tire is shorter, and wider than a 70 series

I had Dunlops on them, but wore them out in less than a year...
Only Michelin for me!
